M1 Mac owners will no longer need Rosetta 2 to run Drive. The consumer version of Google Drive was updated on January 13th with “ improved M1 silicon support,” and fixes to back-up and sync. Google has since announced plans to bring M1 Silicon support to Google Drive for Desktop in version 47.0 due out in April.
